These guide all of our creative work with children and families

We believe that the body is the first home and music is the first language

That all children are innately musical from birth

That all children are competent and capable, and able to make informed decisions, which should be respected

Child-centred musical play and full-bodied movement play are essential for children’s healthy development

Children need space, time, and attuned adult attention, to explore their musicality and fully benefit from music and movement play

All children deserve the same opportunities for supported music and movement play

Playfulness is at the heart of all we do here

If we are playful we laugh readily, are more open, welcome change and enjoy not knowing If we are playful, we enthusiastically explore and are less fearful. We smile more, keep things in perspective, worry less, and try new things. If we are playful, we welcome difference, notice more, and are more attuned to others. Playfulness enables us to facilitate creative play with lightness and ease.
